ARCHITECTURE FILEThe system architecture file is the reference document for a system in its environment
Understanding, planning and organising the interactions: the purpose of system architecture is to organise the global and multi-criterion perception of complex systems. Each component’s specifications and requirements are described.
THE SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OF COMPONENTS CONTAINED IN A SINGLE DOCUMENT
The system architecture file contains all the specifications and requirements for a system taking into account the system’s environment. Each component is described in depth: parts, expected specifications and requirements... The architecture file is the result of collaborative work between the client and the engineering firm compliant with the formalism and references of the world of its destination.
A SYSTEM IS COMPOSED OF DIFFERENT PARTS, WHICH ARE THEMSELVES SUBSYSTEMS
In a complex context, systems and subsystems meet multiple criteria and interact with each other. System architecture federates the different contributions and makes system interconnection more reliable. The concept of “blocks” integrated with other “blocks” makes it possible to forecast the different impacts caused by the destination environment. System architecture makes it possible to decompartmentalise the field of study.
CREATING OR EVOLVING AN EXISTING SYSTEM
The architecture file comes in upstream, in the case of completely new systems or existing systems requiring improvement. It is also possible to imagine that a single system file may be likely to involve different models of finished products. In the automotive sector for example, system architecture files often involve several models of vehicles.
